SurfDetect™ Remote Diagnostics Collection Tool
SurfDetect enables the gathering of real-time binary and textual streaming diagnostics from DSPs (Digital Signal Processors) that are components of remote communication equipment.
SurfDetect is designed using the concept of the server-mediator-target approach, and contains the following elements:
- SurfDetect Mediator is a server application that communicates via IP with the remote equipment.
- SurfDetect Host is the software that executes on the host processor that is connected to the DSP(s) (the target/s). The mediator software routes IP packets, arriving from the SurfDetect server, to the target DSP (and vice versa).
- SurfDetect Target is a module that executes on the DSP (the target). This module enables the DSP software to generate diagnostics for the SurfDetect server.
