Surf's support for 3G-324M enables developers to build 3G mobile network gateway applications using a simple and flexible API. Implementation of the 3G-324M support is in compliance with the 3GPP 3G-324M standard for mobile environments. As part of the SurfWare-Media™ package, Surf's support for 3G-324M can be used to build a wide variety of applications including 3G-to-IP audio/video gateways, 3G video-mail servers, video conferencing servers, and more. Surf 3G-324M Support Description
Surf's support for 3G-324M includes complete 3G-324M session setup and call control. It contains several layers, some provided on the host and others running on the DSP:
- Interface layer - Implemented on the host processor, this layer includes a set of C functions for controlling and monitoring the package.
- H.245 layer - Residing on the host processor, this layer is an implementation of the ITU-T H.245 call control standard, including H.324 annexes A and C for the mobile environment.
- H.223 layer - Implemented on the DSP, this layer includes the mandatory H.223 annexes A and B for the mobile environment.
The transcoding, messaging and file streaming capabilities are performed using the SurfWare-Media API, which is seamlessly integrated with the Surf support for 3G-324M. |
