Yokne’am, Israel - June 19, 2007 – SURF Communication Solutions® (“Surf”) will be demonstrating its voice and video media processing capabilities at the NXTcomm Expo to be held June 19-21 in Chicago, Illinois. The demonstrations, carried out over AdvancedTCAŽ and MicroTCA™ platforms, utilize Surf’s SurfRider/AMC(TM) DSP resource boards and media processing enabling technologies, which are based on TI's TMS320C64x™ DSP generation. The demonstrations will include multimedia communication applications over IP and I-TDM and will illustrate capabilities designed for media server, media gateway, and messaging solutions. Text overlay, an example of one of these capabilities, enables both static and dynamic inclusion and modification of multilingual messages on video-enabled devices. Visitors to the Surf booth can witness this feature in on-going live demonstrations.
In the Interphase booth #3877, the recently announced I-TDM technology integration between Interphase, Motorola and Surf will be demonstrated on a Motorola Centellis(TM) 31KX AdvancedTCA chassis with Surf’s SurfRider/AMC multimedia DSP processing board, Interphase’s iSPAN 3639® AMC T1/E1/J1 communications controller for control and monitoring, and iSPAN 3602® AMC Dual Gigabit Ethernet Network Interface Card hosted on Interphase's iNVAV 31K AMC Intelligent Carrier ATCA Blade.
In addition, Surf will be demonstrating a variety of multimedia telecom applications — such as multiple-participant video conferencing, a video portal (IVVR), and video messaging — based on its complete line of multimedia processing platforms and solutions, which will be on display in the Surf booth #3875 as well as in the PICMG pavilion #4257V.
