Surf Communication Solutions Named
to the 2007 “Pulver 100”
Increasing Demand for High-Capacity Distribution of Voice and Video for Converged Networks Helps to Secure Ranking on pulver 100

Beverly, Massachusetts - March 14, 2007 – SURF Communication Solutions® (“Surf”) today announced that it has been named to the 2007 “pulver 100” – which is the IP Communications industry’s premier listing of privately–held growth companies that represent the future of the IP–voice and video communications ecosystem. Surf has been named to the list due to its ability to meet the market demand for high-capacity distribution of voice and video over converged networks with its suite of multimedia processing products.
Surf develops an off–the–shelf fully–converged audio/video media processing subsystem that integrates easily into media gateways and servers used by IMS equipment manufacturers and other applications in the telecommunication infrastructure field. It is available in various integration levels, such as AdvancedMC, PTMC and PCI form factor DSP resource boards or DSP chips, which are pre–integrated with leading AdvancedTCA, MicroTCA and cPCI carrier boards and blades.
Surf’s customers can significantly reduce time–to–market while supporting market demands for true convergence of all media types: audio/voice, video, and data (fax/modem), over all networks: IP, mobile, wireline, and wireless – all processed simultaneously on a single DSP.
“The pulver 100 is the IP Communications industry’s first and foremost award listing, and it continues to grow in significance, because companies like Surf Communication Solutions continue to develop innovative solutions and spread voice and video IP communications via their multimedia processing boards,” said Carl Ford, Vice President of Content and Community for Pulvermedia. “We’re proud to name Surf to this year’s pulver 100.”
“It is a distinct honor to be named to the pulver 100, especially for the fifth straight year,” states Lior Fite, VP Marketing of Surf Communication Solutions. “We consider it a clear indication that Surf is remaining true to its commitment to develop and deliver the innovative, leading–edge voice and video enabling technology that the telecom industry demands.”
Surf will be demonstrating its voice and video media processing engine in booth #935 at the Spring VON 2007 Expo to be held March 20–22 in San Jose, California. The demonstration utilizes Surf’s SurfRider/AMC DSP resource board and media processing enabling technologies. The demonstrations will be viewed on IP video phones, and will illustrate a wide array of video processing capabilities via a video portal menu streamed from the server to the phones, including streaming movie clips, IVVR functionality such as video message record and playback, and multi-participant video conferencing. |
