Wind Mobile Selects Surf Communication Solutions PTMC DSP Boards to Enable Mobile 3G Video Services in its Media Server Solutions


Yokne’am, Israel - July 12, 2007 – SURF Communication Solutions® (“Surf”), a leading provider of multimedia embedded processing solutions, announced today that Wind Mobile, the Central and Eastern Europe’s leading provider of communication solutions focusing on value-added services platforms for mobile and fixed carriers, has selected Surf’s SurfRider/PTMC™ multimedia processing technology to support mobile 3G video services in its Falcon™ platform media server solutions.

Falcon platform, Wind Mobile’s flagship product, is a unified service environment for mobile carriers that provides voice, SMS, MMS, call completion and a wide range of other leading edge mobile services. Possible services available on the Falcon platform range from mobile entertainment, such as Custom Ringback, Funny Greetings, Song Dedications, to core communications services such as Network ACD, Voice Messenger, IN Services, SMS2Fixed, up to call completion services including Presence / Availability and Missed Call Notifications. By incorporating Surf’s SurfRider/PTMC multimedia processing solution into the Falcon platform, Wind Mobile can further boost the reach of its customers’ services by supporting video streams over the mobile network and enabling brand new and innovative applications over 3G networks. The first commercial video service based on Falcon and enabled by Surf will be launched in Q3 2007.

The SurfRider/PTMC is a fully integrated RoHS-compliant PMC/PTMC DSP resource board with a comprehensive multimedia processing package for audio, video, modem and fax.
