Yokne’am, Israel - November 20, 2007 – SURF Communication Solutions® (“Surf”), a leading provider of multimedia embedded processing solutions, announced today that Winnerstek, a Korea-based a provider of value-added multimedia communication systems for both fixed and mobile applications, has selected Surf’s SurfRider/PTMC™ multimedia processing platform to support video and voice services in its mGATE™ 3G multimedia gateway solutions.
mGATE, recently released for general availability, connects VoIP networks to 3G WCDMA mobile networks to provide video telephony services. mGATE delivers reliable video communications by offering a seamless multimedia connectivity between 3G WCDMA mobile and VoIP networks.
The SurfRider/PTMC is a fully integrated RoHS-compliant PMC/PTMC DSP resource board with a comprehensive multimedia processing package for audio, video, modem and fax.
